Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of RatePeek — Currency Widget (“RatePeek” or “the app”) and its support website. By downloading or using RatePeek, you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s applicable App Store terms.

2. App license

RatePeek is licensed, not sold. Your license to use the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These Terms provide additional product-specific information. If a provision conflicts with mandatory law or Apple’s applicable terms, the controlling requirement applies.

3. Reference rates and conversions

RatePeek uses third-party reference-rate information, currently provided through Frankfurter. Rates may be delayed, cached, unavailable, inaccurate, or different from the rate offered by your bank, card issuer, ATM, merchant, broker, or exchange provider.

Displayed amounts do not include spreads, commissions, taxes, card fees, ATM fees, rounding practices, or other charges unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for confirming the final rate and cost with the relevant provider before making a transaction.

4. No financial advice

RatePeek is provided for general informational and travel-planning purposes only. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or trading advice. Do not rely on RatePeek as the sole basis for a financial decision or transaction.

5. Offline and widget information

Offline conversions and widgets may display the last successfully cached rate. iOS controls widget update timing, and a widget may temporarily show older information than the app. Check the displayed status or date and open RatePeek while connected when current information matters.

6. RatePeek Premium

RatePeek Premium is offered as a one-time in-app purchase. Pricing and availability are shown by Apple before purchase and may vary by country or region. Apple processes purchases, restores, refunds, taxes, and payment disputes under its own terms and policies.

Premium access is associated with the Apple Account used for purchase. Use Restore Purchases when necessary. Features may evolve over time, but a valid Premium entitlement will continue to unlock the Premium capabilities available in the installed version of RatePeek, subject to platform availability and these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You may use RatePeek only for lawful personal purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the app or its services, bypass purchase or access controls, misuse third-party services, reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it, or use RatePeek in a way that violates another person’s rights.

8. Third-party services

RatePeek depends on Apple services, Frankfurter, internet connectivity, and operating-system features outside our control. Those services may change, limit access, or become unavailable. Their separate terms and privacy practices may apply.

9. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, platform compatibility, service availability, or product development. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every device, iOS version, country, or region.

10. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RatePeek and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees regarding uninterrupted availability, timeliness, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Consumer rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or financial losses arising from reliance on a displayed rate, service interruption, cached data, third-party fees, or use of the app. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in RatePeek, third-party services, or applicable requirements. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
